Kimono - create your own unique kimono
Nørgaards HøjskoleOn this college course you will have the opportunity to work creatively with recycled materials, dyeing and textile printing. Whether you are a beginner or have experience with sewing, you will be guided through the entire process – from choosing the fabric to the finished kimono
There will be a mix of teaching, practical work and the opportunity to immerse yourself at your own pace. You will need to bring a used duvet cover to sew your kimono from.
We will start with an introduction to sewing kimonos, followed by workshops in dyeing and textile printing. The week will end with time to complete your project, so you can take home a unique, homemade kimono – created with sustainability and creativity in focus.
To give your design even more character, you will be introduced to batik dyeing and screen printing.
