Furniture Design
Roskilde Festival HøjskoleThis autumn course invites you to explore furniture design by reinterpreting and transforming classic Danish design during an intensive week in the workshop. Working as both designers and craftspeople, participants will create their own unique pieces using transport-damaged furniture from the revived FDB Møbler collection as their starting point.
Throughout the week, we'll explore sustainability in design and craftsmanship by giving worn furniture a new life. We'll reflect on what makes design endure – pieces that grow more beautiful with age and patina while remaining functional, relevant, and worth preserving.
By the end of the week, you'll experience, both literally and metaphorically, what it feels like to sit in a chair you've built yourself.
