Theatre, acting, and personal growth in a shared journey

Ryslinge Højskole

The autumn semester is the longest here at Ryslinge Folk High School. It starts in August and ends in February, offering plenty of time for real immersion.

You'll explore various approaches to acting and build a solid foundation, preparing you well for when we later begin the track-specific course.

You can choose either to prepare for your drama school audition or to take part in a production. Along the way, there are weeks when we break from the everyday routine with shorter workshops, and at the end of the semester, we dive into our traditional project at the Royal Danish Theatre.

Autumn also brings inspiring visits, artistic experiences, and democratic discussions—and, not least, a meaningful daily life where you and your fellow students create a shared environment that supports growth and development.

So as the days grow darker, sweaters come out, and Christmas approaches, we work hard and enjoy life here at the old school—in the theatre hall, rehearsal rooms, and common areas.
