Furniture design

Roskilde Festival Højskole

On this summer course, we dive into furniture design and classic Danish design – and brings new life to it. During an intensive week in the workshop, you will work as both designer and craftsperson, reinterpreting and transforming transport-damaged furniture from the revived FDB Møbler collection into something new.

Together, we explore sustainability through design and craftsmanship.  We will experiment with materials, shapes and functions while developing an eye for design that is built to last – both physically and aesthetically. Design that becomes more beautiful with age and continues to feel relevant.

And then there’s the feeling of good craftsmanship. Quite literally. Because there is something special about sitting in a chair you have built yourself.
